Things to Notice (Poem)

Things to Notice

Staring into a corner
Where two walls meet
The point where decisions end
And more come to be made

Sandy beaches are hard to walk
Each step swallows in
But comes back out
To tread through

Paper airplane glides a distance
Folded secrets fly away
Words once held weight
Thought is paperless

Figures housed on a mantle
Porcelain shapes side by side
Space for all sizes
Because they are hollow

Wheels on a bike
Stored in a garage
Motionless for too long
No one to pedal
